Since stepping aside from Synergia Mooc , I nevertheless supported the collaboration with Athabasca University and Power Ed to offer one module to students at Athabasca University for free. John R taught the sessions and I let the boat sail on..Synergia.org.
In 2024-25, I threw myself into local transition work, volunteering on two major projects, Chairing a Regional Municipal Climate Change Committee for the Town of Athabasca and Athabasca County, and working with QUEST and the Community Energy Association to help identify energy efficiencies and opportunities for investing in green solutions like solar power.
This produced three reports on solarizing Athabasca.
My major effort has been co-leading Athabasca Grown, a SCOP or Small Community Opportunity Program research feasibility study exploring deep winter greenhouse design for northern Alberta, and building a local food resilience network. That report is available at Athabasca Grown
